Bankhaus Scheich was founded in 1985 as Scheich & Partner Börsenmakler GmbH and is today one of the leading specialists at Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In addition to the DAX stocks Bayer, Beiersdorf, Continental, Deutsche Lufthansa, Deutsche Telekom, Munich Re and Volkswagen, we manage around 5,000 other shares and bonds from all segments.
In the 2002 business year, a team of bond specialists was recruited from Reuters AG. This team assisted the bank in expanding its product range to include OTC bond trading. This expansion course was accounted for by acquiring parts of Bankhaus Main AG (2012), Schnigge Wertpapierhandelsbank AG (2015) and equinet Bank AG (2018).
In 2015, the company changed its name in two steps to become Bankhaus Scheich Wertpapierspezialist AG and applied for additional licenses from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), making it a securities trading bank.
In 2018, the bank expanded its range of services to include the capital markets business segment and opened its first branch in Munich for this purpose. This diversification was a natural progression from the long-standing trading relationships with our customers.
Since the beginning of 2020, Bankhaus Scheich has expanded its business areas to include digital assets under the brand name “tradias” – trading digital assets.
